Rachel Bernasconi and Anne Skeldon attended the 2025 SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems, held in Denver Colorado, last week (11-15 May). Rachel gave a talk in Minisymposium CP28 (Neuroscience II) with title “The shape of sleep: How Timescale Separation Reveals Geometric Structure in a Mathematical Model of the Sleep/wake Cycle” (link to abstract here). Anne gave a talk in Minisymposium MS212 (The Dynamics of Neurological Disorders III) with title “The Dynamics of Sleep-wake Regulation: Towards Digital Twins for Sleep Timing Disorders” (link to abstract here). A photo of the whole mathematics team at the conference is below (left to right: Cesare Tronci, Rachel, Stanislaw Biber, Anne). Cesare organised his own minisymposium (link here) and Stanislaw organised his own minisymposium (link here).
