Riccardo Di Silvio and Daniel Hou, both undergraduates in mathematics at Surrey, were selected to take part in a London Mathematical Society sponsored Summer School, held at the University of Bath. A link to the webpage is here. It is two-weeks long, and started on 14 July. The aim is to introduce modern mathematics to the best UK undergraduates who will enter their final year the following Autumn, and encourage them to think about an academic career in mathematics. The topics included a blend of pure and applied mathematics, and talks were given by mathematicians from Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Oxford, Southampton, St Andrews, and Warwick.
