Paper of Werner Bauer on parallel in time FEM simulations published in Geoscientific Model Development

The paper “asQ: parallel-in-time finite element simulations using ParaDiag for geoscientific models and beyond“, co-authored by Joshua Hope-Collins (Imperial), Abdalaziz Hamdan (Bath, Imperial), Werner Bauer, Lawrence Mitchell (independent researcher, Edinburgh), and Colin Cotter (Imperial), has been published in the 25 July issue of Geoscientific Model Development, a journal published by the European Geosciences Union. The paper is open access (link here). The paper introduces the authors’ asQ software framework for investigating the performance of ParaDiag parallel-in-time methods. They illustrate its utility by applying it to shallow water flow on a rotating sphere. The illustration below is Figure 7 from the paper.
