The paper “Explicit non-Abelian gerbes with connections“, co-authored by Dominik Rist (Heriot-Watt & Maxwell Institute), Christian Saemann (Heriot-Watt & Maxwell Institute), and Martin Wolf, has been published (open access) today (20 January) in the Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical (link here). A sketch of the paper is as follows. The authors define the notion of adjustment for strict Lie 2-groups and provide the complete cocycle description for non-Abelian gerbes with connections whose structure 2-group is an adjusted 2-group. This generalisation is needed for physical applications especially in the context of supergravity. The paper gives a number of explicit examples. The image below is from page 21 of the paper.
