Shi Jin, Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences, and Chair Professor of Mathematics, at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, visited mathematics last week (Friday 30 January) for research interaction and to give a Colloquium talk. His host for the visit was Cesare Tronci. The colloquium talk was in the morning, and the title was “Quantum Computing and PDEs“. In the afternoon, a series of research meetings was set up with colleagues across the faculty. The photo below shows Shi and Cesare just before his talk.
