Imran Nasim, a Visiting Lecturer in Mathematics at Surrey, has recently been appointed Vice President of Research at Micro1. He formerly worked at IBM UK as an AI Engineer. Micro1 (link here) is a private, venture-backed software and AI company currently valued at $2.5 billion. It provides human data for AI training, and is highlighted for its robust growth. It operates as a key competitor to industry giants like Scale AI, providing human-generated data to major AI labs and Fortune 100 companies, including Microsoft.
