David Lloyd and Prof Dr Reinhard Richter, of the University of Bayreuth in Germany, have been awarded a Bavarian Research Alliance grant for research cooperation between Lloyd’s team at Surrey and Richter’s group at Bayreuth. The grant provides Euro 4.4k to fund travel between teams for their joint project on localised pattern formation in ferrofluids.
