James Wright passes PhD viva

Congratulations to James Wright who passed his PhD viva today. The title of his thesis is “On the stability and basins of attraction of forced nonlinear oscillators” and the work was supervised by Michele Bartuccelli and Jonathan Deane. The external examiner was Steven Bishop (UCL) and the internal examiner was Anne Skeldon.


Bonet Luz & Tronci paper appears in Journal of Math Physics

The paper “Geometry and symmetry of quantum and classical-quantum variational principles” by Esther Bonet Luz and Cesare Tronci has been published online today by the Journal of Mathematical Physics. Anton Savostianov passes PhD viva

Congratulations to Anton Savostianov who passed his Phd viva today.   The external examiner was Michael Ruzhansky (Imperial) and the internal examiner was Claudia Wulff.  Anton’s PhD project is on “Strichartz estimates and smooth attractors of dissipative hyperbolic equations“, supervised by Sergey Zelik.  Anton will take up a postdoc position in France in the autumn.
