String theorist Jan de Boer visits from Amsterdam

Jan de Boer, a Professor at the Gravitation AstroParticle Physics Amsterdam Institute associated with the University of Amsterdam, visited the department on Friday 29 November to give a colloquium talk on “Holography and quantum gravity“.  An abstract of the talk can be found here.  Jan de Boer’s website can be found here.

Tronci attends plasma physics conference in Denver, Colorado
