A tour of Guildford

This past weekend I had a chance to spend some time exploring Guildford which I thought I would share some of the fun things it has to offer! My friend was visiting from Canada I wanted to give her a full experience. We started off by having breakfast at this independent coffee shop here that I love (http://www.mycoffeeculture.co.uk/) and then went walking around the main streets. It is all pedestrian roads which is something I have grown to love here in England. We visited the Guilford Castle which is a nice little walk and have a beautiful view of the town (http://www.guildford.gov.uk/castle) . The grounds are beautiful and you can take tours of the inside of the castle as well. Shopping followed this activity and we spent a good couple of hours doing that. Guildford has a nice mixture of big brand shops such as Primark, H and M, Topshop and smaller boutiques where you can find really unique gifts. A second pick me up was needed at this point so we stopped for coffee at my favourite study place (http://www.harrisandhoole.co.uk/). They have the best coffee I have ever tasted! We headed to Tesco’s (a grocery store) on the way home and after a home cooked having dinner decided to go out for the night. We went to a place called Wetherspoons which is a pub and very popular with students. They are all over the UK. After a fun night of dancing to throwback music at a place called Vinyl we called it a night and headed back to accommodation. I can’t wait to start exploring London more when my other friend comes to visit!
