Spring Break, Easter and Finally Sunshine!

Hey Guys!

I hope everyone’s doing well! It has been so stressful the past two weeks before Easter break. I feel like all I’ve been up to was submission after submission, filling up coursework submission forms consistently and just refreshing my email to check up on any placement emails! Simultaneously, I was trying to juggle my social life, blogging on here and organizing the Badminton social sessions… I was 98% close to exploding… but Anyways… whenever I’m just about to explode, I try to get out of Guildford for a bit so I went to London with one of my friends, Karen. This is one of the reasons why i love Surrey, we’re literally so close to London and surrounding towns that it’s possible to have daytrips out of Guildford and make it for the last bus to take back to University. We had the ultimate girls day… We went to London for food, shopping and… more shopping. Our mantra was eat. shop. eat. repeat. basically…

We headed up to Oxford Street, Bond Street and Leicester Square (aka. Chinatown) to get our bubble tea fix! If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you’d already know that ChaTime is where it’s at 🙂 Karen and I were so excited when we saw that London Snapchat filter haha We stood there and took like 10 pictures with that filter… not even gonna lie.

After shopping for like 3 hours non-stop, we didn’t even realize it was 9pm and we decided to go for some Korean food. I brought Karen to this place in Chinatown and it was amazingly decious. It was authentic Korean food with really “London” prices…  if you know what I mean. I ordered some Korean spicy chicken and Karen got Ramyun with Rice but she was a bit upset it was just instant noodles and rice which was still delicious of course! haha except… the side dishes that are usually served alongside Korean dining were not free… Kimchi for £2. D: But if we went to New Malden, the Korea Town in England, the restaurants there typically provide the side dishes free of charge because those Ahjummas (aka. Mother’s and owners) of the restaruants love it when people appreciate their food!

For Easter break, I flew back home to Switzerland to see my family and I’ll be here for two weeks and I’ll be back in Guildford for the last two weeks to catchup on my coursework! I’m really missing all my galpals though, I’m so used to seeing them everday or around University but everyone is back home now. One month feels like forever but when classes start, one month feels like a week haha…

Anyways, I hope you guys have an amazing Easter Break or amazing week if you are not having Easter break now.

Love,

Ecclesia
