SeNSS Summer Conference 2019 Bursary Competition

“Social Science, Social Value and Social Justice”

University of East Anglia

10-12 July 2019

From the 10 -12 July 2019 SeNSS will be hosting their Summer Conference at the University of East Anglia.

The programme will bring together doctoral students and academics across the range of social sciences. The focus this year will be “Social Science, Social Value and Social Justice”. Delegates will have access to a key note address, academic talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Non-ESRC funded students from the ten SeNSS universities, whose PhD research comes within our 13 consortium pathways are invited to submit an application for a SeNSS Bursary so they can attend the conference alongside current SeNSS students. The bursary will cover conference entry as well as accommodation and travel costs. Train travel will only be reimbursed for off-peak tickets, ideally booked with a railcard (eg student or network card), and other means of travel will require prior approval.

SeNSS will award bursaries to the applicants who provide the most compelling answers to why they want to attend, via the Bursary Competition Forms.

The number of bursaries we are able to award will be confirmed once registration for SeNSS Students has closed on the 24 May.

Application forms must be emailed and received by the SeNSS office by 16.00 29 May 2019. All responses received will be reviewed by the SeNSS core team and will be awarded by the SeNSS Director.

Successful applicants will be notified by 31 May, and will then need to register on the SeNSS Conference Website before the 5 June.

Email SeNSS Training Manager, Abigail Shirley trainingmanager@senss-dtp.ac.uk for an application form.
