2020 summer in Hong Kong☀️

It is time for summer holidays~ This year summer holidays will be slightly different from the previous ones. I have been spending most of the time staying at home haha. So… Let me share some of my stay-at-home ideas with you guys!

Learning a new language
Have you ever thought of picking up a new language? I always want to learn Korean but I just don’t have the motivation to do so… (lazy me) Finally! With that much time staying at home, I start self-learning Korean. There are many platforms that you can practise and strengthen the language base. For example, I watch Kdramas and variety shows with dual language subtitles. I also follow learning Korean accounts on Instagram or Youtube. These really help my reading and listening skills 😀 I believe hard work pays off ^^ I wish I could master this interesting language soon!

Other than Korean, I decided to pick up Spanish again! I had been studying Spanish for 3 years in secondary school. Sadly, I forget almost everything for now. This summer is a great time for me to learn Spanish again. I am good with the progress I have made so far!

To whoever wants to learn German, check this link if you want to do a 14 days online challenge: https://www.goethe.de/ins/cn/en/sta/hon/bib/14t.html
You can learn different phrases and basic German on this website for free!

Cooking
Guess what! I am slowly becoming a master chef after taking cooking lessons from my mum and my domestic helper. I am now more experienced in baking and I learned more dishes that I think I can actually cook it when I am in the UK! Here are some dishes I helped and learned recently~ Enjoy~

Quality time with family and friends
It is undoubtedly a tough situation for everyone right now. Indeed, I tend to pay more focus on my family and friends. We cook more often at home, especially I know I am gonna miss home food when I am back to the UK. What’s more, I do facetime to catch up with my friends in Hong Kong and abroad. I miss my friends a lot!! I can’t wait to meet them in person seriously! As being an international student, it is harder to spend time with them when you are studying abroad. I really cherish the memories we made when we are staying together <3

Doing workout
Stay active even staying at home! I have built up a habit to do workout more often than ever. I follow Youtube videos vary from body parts exercises to different workout length. It is important to maintain a healthy body to fight the virus together, right? Don’t forget to stretch before and after the workout!

These are some youtube channels that I am following on:

Hope you guys can get some inspiration. As long as we all work together, everything will be better by then! Prevent going out if possible, remember to wear a mask and practise social distancing when you are outside, wash your hands often!
