Surrey’s own bubble tea shop—Zenchai Bubble Tea—has finally opened their doors early this month! Located at Hillside Lounge on Stag Hill campus, Zenchai serves freshly brewed milk teas and fruit teas with a wide selection of toppings. They also just recently introduced their new Brown Sugar Series.

Zenchai was actually founded by accounting and finance student Monz Islam, who won a Foundership from Student Enterprise earlier this year to kickstart it. The Founderships Programme awards between £1,000 and £3,000 to student and graduate entrepreneurs to work on their business ideas over the summer, plus a top prize of £5,000 for the most outstanding pitch. It also includes mentorship, workshops, and extra support, with dedicated Founderships set aside to support Black and LGBTQ+ founders. (Find out more about the programme here!)
