Surrey’s own bubble tea shop – Zenchai Bubble Tea – has finally opened their doors early this month! Located at Hillside Lounge on Stag Hill campus, Zenchai serves freshly brewed milk teas and fruit teas with a wide selection of toppings. They also just recently introduced their new Brown Sugar Series.

Zenchai was actually founded by accounting and finance student Monz Islam, who won a Foundership from Student Enterprise earlier this year to kickstart it. The Founderships Programme awards between £1,000 and £3,000 to student and graduate entrepreneurs to work on their business ideas over the summer, plus a top prize of £5,000 for the most outstanding pitch. It also includes mentorship, workshops, and extra support, with dedicated Founderships set aside to support Black and LGBTQ+ founders. (Find out more about the programme here!)
