Silver Linings In A Cloudy London Week

Hey guys, how are you all feeling today? I am feeling amaaazing!

So winter holidays started around 2 weeks ago and that’s why I’ve been a little MIA. Mainly, my break consisted of me hopping around the UK and also visiting Spain and Denmark. I’m still in the process of editing the vlog for the first week of my winter holidays but it will be up soon enough on my YouTube channel.

Anyways, okay. Let’s list down a few of the unforeseen things I’ve learnt during my short travels.

1. Always go to the airport way earlier than you plan (maybe 4 hours earlier) because I missed my flight to Copenhagen due to a series of unfortunate events. I’ve never missed a flight in my life but wow did I not see how small things add up way too big in the end (you’ll know what I mean after watching my Copenhagen vlog!).

2. One thing I’ve learnt the hard way is that free Wi Fi is so hard to get in the UK, everybody just uses their phone data. This might not sound like a big deal but if you’re from Malaysia (which I’m guessing most of you reading this are) you’d know what a catastrophe this is haha.

3. Give UBER a chance, it’s not as expensive as it is back in Malaysia. And it’s a great way to get to know how differently people see the world (if you ask your driver nicely). I’ve had the pleasure of talking to people from Syria, Somalia, Turkey and Bulgaria and you wouldn’t believe the hardships they’ve been through.

Alright well I guess that should do it for now, I need to go and meet up with an acquaintance for afternoon tea! She sat next to me when we did our visas and we’ve kept in contact ever since. It’s amazing how you can find new friends by just mustering up the courage to say hi.

I’ll talk to you guys later 🙂

Much love,

Iman Ezidy
