Aston attends UGPN Meeting in Brazil

Philip Aston attended a meeting of the University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) at Ribeirao Preto, Brazil on 23-25 September 2013. The UGPN network consists of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, North Carolina State University (USA) and the University of Surrey. This was the sixth meeting of the network. During the Festival of Research, Philip gave a talk in the session on Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. In his talk, he gave an overview of the different research areas in the Department of Mathematics at Surrey and then gave highlights of the results from four projects that he has been involved in. His talk was well received and he had some interesting discussions afterwards.  On 26th September, Philip went to Sao Paulo and had some interesting discussions on his UGPN funded project on the dynamics of HCV infection.
