Daniel Ratliff starts PhD project on theory of water waves

roguE-WAVEDaniel Ratliff started his PhD project today (1st July) on the theory of water waves, joining the Fluid Mechanics and Meteorology Research Group.  Daniel was awarded a First Class MMath degree in mathematics from the University of East Anglia.  His MMath project was on “The existence and stability of hydrodynamic rogue wave solutions“, supervised by Emilian Parau.  The principal superviser on his PhD project is Tom Bridges and the second supervisor is Matt Turner.
