Sara Pasquetti is in Switzerland today (Tuesday 10 February) visiting CERN to give a talk in the TH String Theory Seminar on “Holomorphic blocks and q-deformed correlators“.  In the talk she will discuss how supersymmetric partition functions on various compact manifolds in two, three, four and five dimensions can be expressed in terms of a universal set of building blocks, the holomorphic blocks.  CERN is located in Geneva.  Founded in 1954, it is both a theoretical and experimental facility devoted to the study of the fundamental particles.
