Martin Wolf visits and speaks at Korean Institute for Advanced Study

seoul-300x225 Martin Wolf visited Seoul Korea during the week of 21 April.  He spent about a
week at the Department of Physics and Astronomy & Centre for Theoretical Physics, Seoul National University, hosted by Prof Seok Kim.  He gave a talk on Thursday 23 April on “Self-dual higher gauge theory“.   He also visited the School of Physics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study and gave the same talk there on Tuesday 21 April. In the two talks, Martin reviewed recent developments in self-dual higher gauge theory. This is a geometric approach of constructing non-Abelian superconformal gauge theories in six dimensions, which combines the two areas of twistor geometry and higher gauge theory.
