The paper “Equation-free analysis of agent-based models and systematic parameter determination” co-authored by the Surrey team of Spencer Thomas, David Lloyd, and Anne Skeldon, will appear in the December 2016 issue of Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications.  The paper gives a systematic method to determine computational parameters for equation-free continuation, gives a simple and robust variance based procedure for root finding in stochastic systems, and they apply the continuation algorithm to examples in NetLogo.  A link to the published paper is here.
