Dan Ratliff is in the mountains near Vancouver Canada this week (31 Oct to 4 Nov) attending the mathematics conference “Theoretical and Computational Aspects of Nonlinear Surface Waves” at the BANFF Center for Mathematics.  Dan gave a talk on the first day of the conference on “The emergence of higher order dispersion from periodic waves“.  His talk is available on video here.
