Surrey-NPL team awarded runner-up prize in the DSWeb 2018 Software Contest

A Surrey-NPL team consisting of David Lloyd and Anne Skeldon from Surrey and Spencer Thomas, a Higher Research Scientist from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), have received the runner-up prize in the DSWeb 2018 Software contest. The announcement is here. Their submission was on “Emergent and Macroscopic Behaviour ExtRaction“.  EMBER is a generalised analysis tool for numerical continuation and bifurcation analysis of stochastic systems or those without a closed form solution or macroscopic equation of state.  Links to the software and background paper can be obtained from the link given above.
