Reading and Surrey combined their Data Assimilation (DA) expertise to give 2 days of lectures and practicals on implementation of DA to a group of 70 international students attending the European Space Agency summer school EOSS 2018 (link here). The summer school, which focused on a range of themes in earth observation, lasted for two weeks in August and was hosted at ESA’s ESRIN, located in the picturesque town of Frascati, Italy. Natalie and the Surrey-Reading DA-Team (shown in the photo left) joined the summer school for the final two days, and topped it off with a sightseeing tour through central Rome.
