Jane Lyle wins JRSM Cardiovascular Disease Young Investigator of the Year

Congratulations to final year PhD student Jane Lyle, who was awarded the JRSM Cardiovascular Disease Young Investigator of the Year Prize last night (Monday 17 February) following presentations by the finalists at the London Medical Society. Her talk entitled “Symmetric projection attractor reconstruction: detecting gender differences from ECGs” demonstrated how a phase space embedding of a physiological signal can provide additional clinical information about the waveform shape. Jane is supervised by Prof Philip Aston and Dr Manasi Nandi (King’s College London).
