Wilhelm Treschow, a Master’s level student at Lund University in Sweden, is visiting the Department for two months this summer. He started in July and his visit is hosted by Bin Cheng. They are working on a research project on shell models of energy cascading in turbulence. Specifically, they are examining mathematical links between the Navier-Stokes equations and various turbulence shell models in the literature.
