Sergey Zelik is speaking today (Monday 13 September) in the Bremen Online Dynamics Seminar (BODS). The title of his talk is “Deterministic and random attractors for a wave equation with sign changing damping“. A link to the BODS webpage, which includes the zoom link, is here. In the talk, Sergey plans to discuss the long-time dynamics generated by weakly damped wave equations in bounded 3D domains where the damping coefficient depends explicitly on time and may change sign. Both theory and examples are presented, along with conditions for finite Hausdorff dimension of the attractors.
