Bauer, Cheng and Sakellaris at Newton Institute satellite meeting on GFD at the University of Reading

Werner Bauer, Bin Cheng, and Zisis Sakellaris are attending the 3-week long (30 August to 23 September) conference on “Geophysical fluid dynamics; from mathematical theory to operational prediction” hosted at the University of Reading (link to conference webpage here). It is a satellite meeting of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences. Bin gave a talk on Wednesday 31 August on “Near Resonance Approximation of Rotating Navier-Stokes Equations” (link here for abstract). Zisis gave a talk on Friday 2 September on “Near resonant approximation of the rotating strafied Boussinesq system(link here for abstract). Werner is giving a talk on Thursday 22 September on “Towards structure preserving discretizations of stochastic rotating shallow water equations on the sphere” (link here for abstract).
