Jessica Furber presents lightning talk at a Surrey Vet School sponsored NTD Workshop held in Brighton

A Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) workshop on “Research into policy” is being held today and tomorrow (14-15 October) hosted by the Surrey Vet School, and held at the Holiday Inn on the Seafront in Brighton. The focus of the workshop is on research that influences policy and how one can translate fundamental research into impact. It included some talks from key international and national organisations, including the World Health Organization (WHO). Jessica Furber was a participant today and was invited to give a 5 minute lightning talk. The title of her talk was “Stuck in a well: Badgers moving on an energy surface“. The session ended with a split into subgroups with assigned challenges. Jessica‘s table debated the question “Why is my research unique?Jessica will be happy to share the outcome of that debate!
