Anne Skeldon gave a virtual talk to the Biomedical Mathematics Group at KAIST in South Korea

On Wednesday this week (26 October) Anne Skeldon gave a virtual talk in the 2022 Biomedical Mathematics Colloquium, hosted at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Due to the time lag, the talk was broadcast from Guildford at 8am. Anne was invited by Jae Kyoung Kim , the group leader of BioMaths at KAIST. Her talk title was “Mathematical modelling of the sleep-wake cycle: light, clocks and social rhythms” in which she gave an overview of the mathematics behind some of the models that are used and how Anne and her team are using them to make predictions about sleep in our everyday lives. Anne’s feedback from the talk was “It was good to have the opportunity to talk to Jae’s large and very active groups of researchers, some of whom have been using the models we are developing.” The screenshot below shows part of the gallery during Anne‘s talk.
