A Surrey team (Werner Bauer, Paul Bergold, Tom Bridges, Cesare Tronci) attended a two-day workshop on Applied Geometric Mechanics at Imperial College London. The workshop, held on Thursday-Friday 30-31 March, is the third meeting of the two-year network on Applied Geometric Mechanics sponsored by the London Mathematical Society, linking Edinburgh, Exeter, Imperial, and Surrey, and led by Hamid Alemi Ardakani (Exeter).
