Jeroen Lamb visits from Imperial to speak and interact as part of the Applied Stochastics initiative

On Friday 12 May, Jeroen Lamb visited the department to interact and give a talk as part of the applied stochastics initiative. The title of his talk was “From deterministic to random dynamics: challenges and opportunities” and he discussed the importance of adding noise to otherwise deterministic systems, with many examples. He also pointed out that the subject still has many challenges and he highlighted some. During his visit Elena Pearce and Harry Bell from marketing met with Jeroen and video’d an interview. In the interview, Jeroen talked about his work as well as his interaction with researchers at Surrey. The photo below shows the interview in action.
