Ian Roulstone and Cesare Tronci were in Madrid Spain the week of 3 July for the conference “New Trends in Applied Geometric Mechanics – Celebrating Darryl Holm’s 70th birthday“. A link to the conference webpage is here. Cesare was on the organising committee and Ian gave a talk on “Monge-Ampere geometry and the Navier-Stokes equations“. The picture left is from the conference and shows Martins Bruveris (Brunel), James Montaldi (Manchester), David Martin de Diego (ICMAT, Madrid), and Cesare (note the cartoon bubble on the blackboard).
