The Fields, Strings, and Geometry Group at Surrey and the Theoretical Physics Group at the University of Milano-Bicocca are jointly organising a summer school: the 2018 Bicocca-Surrey School on “Prospects in Strings, Fields and Related Topics”. The summer school will be held at the University of Milano-Bicocca, during 11-15 June 2018. The school is aimed at PhD students and early career researchers working in the areas of string theory, supergravity and quantum field theory. Covered topics will include various aspects of AdS/CFT correspondence, black holes, integrability, supersymmetric localization and 3d dualities. The average temperature in Milan in June is about 23 C and further info about climate can be found here. A website for registration is in development and will appear later this year. Meanwhile, information about the summer school can be obtained by contacting any of the organisers. The Organising Committee consists of Jan Gutowski and Ian Roulstone from Surrey and Anton Nedelin, Sara Pasquetti, and Silvia Penati at Bicocca.
