Giacomo Acciarini started this month as a new PhD student working with Dave Lloyd and Nicola Baresi (Surrey Space Centre), and co-supervised by Dr Dario Izzo of the European Space Agency (ESA). The project is also co-funded by the ESA. The PhD project aims at implementing and developing novel stochastic continuation procedures that have the potential to revolutionize the trajectory design process by accounting for uncertainties from the very beginning of the design phase.
