A two-day workshop on “Synergistic Hybrid Marine Renewable Energy” is being held at the University of Surrey this week (Thursday-Friday 21-22 July). It is a discussion meeting of a UGPN Network grant between North Carolina State University, University of Wollongong, and the University of Surrey. The principal organiser is Dr Liang Cui (Civil and Environmental Engineering, Surrey). Tom Bridges attended on behalf of the NWGFD Research Group. The aims of the workshop are to (a) disseminate results from the proof-of-concept studies on the development of a hybrid energy harvest platform, and (b) establish a research consortium and discuss the potential of future collaborative research projects. A link to the event page is (link here), and the image below shows the logo of the project.
