Anne Skeldon and Aravind Kumar Kamaraj present posters at Connectome 2024, a UK DRI network meeting

The 6th-8th of November, Aravind Kumar Kamaraj and Anne Skeldon joined a team of people from the Surrey Sleep Research Centre at Connectome 2024, the annual showcase and networking event of the UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI). Aravind is a joint  Surrey Sleep Research Centre / Maths postdoc who is funded by a DRI grant (announcement here), with Surrey PI Derk-Jan Dijk (link to grant here). Aravind presented a poster “A computational biomarker to screen for epilepsy in people living with Alzheimer’s disease”. Aravind is using ideas from graph theory to quantify brain connectivity and synchrony.  Anne presented a poster put together by Stanislaw Biber (their Biomedical Research Centre funded postdoc (link here) on “Deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease: insights from mathematical understanding of entrainment”.  Photo from Connectome shown below.
