Congratulations to Esther Bonet Luz for passing her PhD viva today (Friday 16th December).  Her thesis title is “Geometry and symmetry of quantum and classical quantum dynamics“.  The examiners were Marco Castrillon Lopez (Madrid) and Mark Roberts. Esther was supervised by Cesare Tronci.

The paper “Multiphase wavetrains, singular wave interactions and the emergence of the KdV equation“, co-authored by Dan Ratliff and Tom Bridges, has just (8 December) been published by the Proceedings A of the Royal Society of London.  The paper is published open access, and the abstract and paper are viewable here.
