Jonathan Bevan, of the Dynamical Systems and PDEs research group, Alessandro Torrielli, of the Fields, Strings and Geometry research group, and Matthew Turner of the Fluids, Meteorology, and Symmetry research group, were promoted by the University to Senior Lecturer in Mathematics.  These promotions took effect on 1st April 2016.

The Royal Society of London has awarded a £12k grant to Bin Cheng under the International Exchange Scheme.  The two-year grant funds travel costs of a joint project between the University of Surrey (Bin Cheng, Ian Roulstone) and the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (Qiangchang Ju, Song Jiang, Zili Xu) in Beijing.  The […]
