Back at university again from placement I feel so at home, I have been away from Guildford for 15months and I am over excited to get back into campus life. The university of Surrey offers a wide range of support services, part time jobs and activities to get involved with, so the only way you can come to Surrey and not have the Surrey experiences is if you don’t come at all.
As well as been the Student Ambassador for Nigeria I am also a Student Life Mentor (Team Leader) for the university of Surrey, we visit students each week to have a chat with them, offer advice and give updates on what’s happening at Surrey. Our aim is to make sure that other students have the best possible experience living in the courts of residence. We also organise activities to enable students socialise and get to know other people living around them.
The beautiful thing about Surrey is that every student has a voice it doesn’t matter if you are an international or home student, if you have a problem you can voice it out to your mentor, Student Service Centre, or the University of Surrey Students Union which all students at Surrey are a part of. Also if you have an idea ranging from societies you think Surrey should have or something you feel the students and staff at Surrey will benefit highly from if it existed at Surrey, there is an amazing opportunity on Campus to bring that idea to life.
Yes! you are considering Surrey, or are at Surrey maybe because of its ranking on the leagues tables but trust me apart from being one of the top Universities in the UK it has a whole lot and much more to offer to you to enable you graduate not just with a certificate but with an incredible amount of experience.
