The weather in the South of England has officially become beautiful. Everyday now it is over 20 degrees and this means that everyone wants to be outside! Luckily the Student Union and the university get this and arrange a lot of events and outdoor activities to take full advantage. There are barbeque sites all around campus including down by the lake and this past Sunday there were a lot of students having afternoon picnics with their friends. I actually ended up with a really bad sunburn, who knew that could happen in England…? The Student Union has organized something called the Free Fest which is a Friday and Saturday dedicated to arts, music and outdoors. They have a ton of bands and DJs playing as well as food stalls, a bouncy castle and lots of free give-aways and activities. The two days ends with a free outdoor cinema with the movie selection chosen by a poll from the student body. This will be a great chance to take a break from the never ending studying and get some fresh air and sun (if my burn is gone by then that is).
