Thanks to the algorithms of social networks, I was reminded that I had taken a nice picture of campus ten years ago today. At that time I was living on campus as a warden in the student residences, and I took the very short walk in to my office quite early that morning as the sun was rising. I got a nice picture from one of the bridges linking the academic buildings – a bridge like the one you can see linking two other buildings in the centre of the shot.
The algorithm was right – it was nice to be reminded of that memory, and I thought I’d share the picture here.
It’s the start of a new semester now, and I’m enjoying seeing the campus much more full of people than in the picture, though indeed at the time the sun is rising it is still quite quiet.
