So sorry I’ve been away! It’s been only two weeks since I’ve been back but I’ve had so many errands to run since I’ve been back! So let me update you guys !
This year, I will be going into my final year, majoring in BSc Media, Culture and Society. I will also be the social secretary for the ABACUS society (Association of British and Chinese University Students!) And, I will be taking on every university student’s biggest fear…. the infamous DISSERTATION !
So, Fresher’s Week just happened and as the social sec for ABACUS, my commmittee has been planning and stressing out to ensure that we maxise the amount of sign-ups and help students to find their place, hopefully at ABACUS ! 🙂
So this is the ABACUS committe for 2016/17

So that’s us girls, or how I like to call it, ABAGirls! We were so proud of our setup at our stall for freshers fair! These lanters were definitely eye-catching and drawed many people to us!
While I’m back, I’ve also been meeting up with my friends, Do you guys know who that is? That’s Adeline, she just graduated and she was the formed student ambassador for Malaysia! Even all the way in England, we’re still neighbours ! 😉 But yeah, definitely will be missing her after she graduates and leaves!
My first sunday back, I actually signed up to be a Sirreu Freshers Angel! If you’re unaware of this scheme, Surrey actually encourages students to volunteer and assign them to different areas in University during move-in weekend at key collection stands, parking lots, accommodation blocks … and the job for these angels are to help new fresher students fit in and just ensure they feel settled in!
It was such an amazing experience and I’m so glad I had the chance to do it my last year!
That’s a short update for now but… here’s a short vlog I have from Fresher’s Fair if you wanna see more!
