During the week of 4th March, Tom Bridges visited the Weierstrass Institute in Berlin and the Lehrstuhl für Analysis und Modellierung at the Universität Stuttgart.  At the Weierstrass Institute he visited the group of Alexander Mielke and gave a talk on “Reapprasial of 2+ myths in the theory of nonlinear waves” and at Stuttgart he visited the group of Guido Schneider and gave a talk on “How modulation generates geometry in the theory of nonlinear waves“.
