The Business Enterprise Programmes team are proud to launch our new film “Connecting Capabilities, Innovate and Grow with the University of Surrey”. The film features four of our high-tech, high-growth companies and summarises how they have benefitted from collaborating with Surrey researchers as part of the SETsquared Scale-Up and the SPRINT (Space Research and Innovation Network for Technology) Connecting Capability Fund (CCF) programmes.
The Business Enterprise Programmes team provide support to University of Surrey researchers to collaborate with UK-based SMEs, helping to identify companies, scope and deliver projects. Our portfolio over the last year comprised 5 Associate KTP projects, 14 SPRINT projects and 24 SME Innovation Voucher projects.
We have also supported Surrey academics, via our SETsquared Scale-Up programme, to prepare Innovate UK applications, we have on-boarded 12 SMEs to our European Blockstart programme, providing training and research in blockchain technologies, and we are supporting researcher and SME engagement with the new Surrey Heartlands Health Technology Accelerator located in the Clinical research building.
Our 2022 SME Innovation Voucher scheme is now open to applications. If you are interested in establishing a new relationship with an SME by delivering a short, innovative project with the potential for developing a larger collaboration, please contact the scheme manager, Dan Bance, at collaborate@surrey.ac.uk to discuss your ideas and requirements.
Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing a series of case-studies, “How To” guides and events to support you in engaging with industry and developing collaborations.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more, contact collaborate@surrey.ac.uk – we would welcome a conversation with you.
