Andrea Fontanella wins student talk prize at LMS Conference

lms-bop Andrea Fontanella, a Phd student of Jan Gutowski, working on a PhD in the area of geometry of supersymmetric solutions, gave a talk on Friday 3 July in London at the London Mathematical Society 150th Anniversary PhD Student Meeting held at MBA House in Tavistock Square in London.  The talk title was “Generalised geometry in supergravity theories“.  It was announced at the end of the conference that Andrea was one of two students that was awarded a prize for his talk. The prize consisted of a copy of “The Book of Presidents 1865-1965“, compiled by S. Oakes, A. Pears, & A. Rice, published by LMS, and shown left.  The prize also included £50 worth of National Book Tokens.
