A paper of Jon Bevan and Jonathan Deane, about the Wirtz pump, that appeared in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London in 2018 (link here) has been picked up by Steve Mould, the science youtuber. He has made a video based on the theory (youtube link here). The video first shows a laboratory model and then proceeds to show a working model in Jonathan‘s garden. The video has already had over 2 million views, and is trending at #11 on youtube. The screenshot below is from minute 6:09 of the video. Jonathan’s Wirtz pump is in the background.
