David Lloyd has been awarded the T. Brooke Benjamin Prize in mathematics by SIAM.  SIAM is America’s applied mathematics society and the largest in the world, with over 15,000 members.  The TBB prize is their most important prize in nonlinear waves and patterns, and is awarded every two years, based on an outstanding paper published in the previous four years.  SIAM will fly Dave to Baltimore Maryland where the prize will be awarded in person at the biannual meeting.
