Frédéric Dias, a Professor at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, visited mathematics yesterday (11 March). He interacted with Tom Bridges and Matt Turner as part of the water wave project which is developing a theory for breaking waves. The team met up online with PhD student Ayoub Mansor, and they discussed the latest results and plans for future theory and outputs. The photo below shows (left to right) Matt, Frederic, and Tom.
