The 2026 SIAM Nonlinear Waves and Coherent Structures (NWCS26) conference was held in Montreal during 26-29 May (website here). David Lloyd was invited to give a Plenary Lecture. The title of his talk was “Localised Multi-dimensional Patterns”, and an abstract can be found here. The Chair of the plenary session was Michael Ward (UBC, Canada). In addition, Matt Turner and Dave were co-authors, with Dan Hill (Oxford), of a talk “Think Global, Act Local: Inducing Fully Localised Planar Patterns” (presented by Dan).
